Do you feel like your faith is confined to Sunday mornings?

Sometimes it can feel like your faith is disconnected from work, relationships, or the challenges in your community. This video series shares real stories of everyday Christians in Evansville living out their faith in ordinary places, offering hope and renewal. We hope you come away with a fresh perspective on how God has uniquely positioned you to be a part of His bigger mission.

01

Gayla Bell

Gayla opened a bakery in Jacobsville, unexpectedly finding it to be a space for ministry and community connection. Despite challenges like repeated robberies, she discovered that her role wasn’t to bring Jesus to the neighborhood, but to join the work He was already doing there.

02

Ron Kay

After a drunk driving accident with his son, Ron had two choices: jail or treatment. What followed was a long, painful fight for sobriety—nearly losing his life along the way. Today, Ron spends his time walking with men in recovery, visiting prisons and safe houses.

Ron’s story is proof that God can use the most broken parts of our lives to bring healing to others.

03

Debbie Calhoun

Debbie is a Cyber Security Engineer who saw a gap and stepped into it. Through her program TechMe, she’s opening doors for kids in Tepe Park—teaching them robotics, drones, and AI, and helping them dream beyond what they thought was possible.

04

Jaron Stewart

Jaron grew up without a father, cycling through addiction and prison. But everything changed when someone walked with him in faith—and taught him to do the same for others. What began as a pickup basketball game has become a ripple effect of faith, discipleship, and transformation.

05

Brandon Roop

Brandon thought he missed his chance at ministry when he chose business school over seminary. But years later, standing at a hospital bedside as a financial advisor, he realized God had been writing a different story all along. This isn’t just about money—it’s about legacy, trust, and showing up in sacred moments where spreadsheets can’t go.

Sharing the Beyond Sunday video series is a powerful way for churches and businesses to connect faith with real-life impact.

For someone sitting in a pew, it can be easy to compartmentalize faith as something reserved for Sundays—but Beyond Sunday bridges that gap, showing how belief intersects with both the problems and hopes of our city.

For someone sitting in an office, wondering if their work really matters in the bigger picture, these stories affirm that vocation is a sacred space too. Businesses that share Beyond Sunday can encourage employees to bring their whole selves to work, foster values-driven culture, and spark conversations about purpose, integrity, and a flourishing city.

These videos are free thanks to donations from people who want to see Evansville become a place where everyone can flourish. You can help others discover their influence.
